VAR divisions

The process that takes place on the 75 hectare VAR site is translated into a clear and logical structure, based on five divisions. Each division is responsible for a clearly demarcated element of the process. However, this does not mean that the divisions operate separately. The opposite is the case. Together they form an integrated operation, in which the divisions support and complement each other. Want to know more? Click on the logo!

Processes mineral waste such as contaminated soil, waste from contaminated locations, brick/concrete/asphalt rubble and non-recyclable waste.

Produces fuels and energy products. In Spijk (near Lobith), high-calorific residual flows are processed into secondary fuels.

Turns organic waste into biogas, compost and biomass (GFV and green waste) and secondary raw materials and biomass (wood).

Commercial waste is separated into metals, timber, rubble, minerals, paper/film, plastics and high-calorific subflows.

The extensive technical and logistical expertise (since 1981!) of our extremely experienced engineering staff is also made available to third parties.
